What we want to learn

A pilot should answer practical questions, not produce a flattering case study.

The priority is repeat use, trust and usefulness in everyday practice. We are more interested in what breaks, confuses or adds workload than in early promotional claims.

What happens before testing

An initial conversation about fit, context and what a proportionate closed-beta pilot could test.
No guarantee of selection, feature set, access date or commercial arrangement.
Any testing scope, data handling and responsibilities agreed before activity begins.
No school, practitioner or young person named publicly without specific permission.

Who may be a helpful fit

Experience of the messy middle matters.

Early input is most useful when it combines practical understanding with a willingness to challenge the product rather than simply endorse it.

Connected use

Home–school use deserves particular testing

The linked-account model allows families to keep their own KnowMyWhy record and optionally connect a professional. A useful pilot should test whether this genuinely improves shared understanding while preserving private reflection.

A professional connection does not make the school the owner of the family’s account, and family use does not depend on a school continuing to use KnowMyWhy.

Permissions before promotion

No borrowed credibility.

This page will not display school names, logos, quotes, uptake figures, endorsements or case studies until the material exists and permission to publish it has been confirmed.

Participation and public acknowledgement are separate decisions. A setting may contribute feedback without agreeing to be named.
